Holly Carr reads her book LIGHT IN THE FOREST

When Holly Carr’s son was a young boy, he had many fears, especially around the dark. So, Holly came up with an idea of creating a book to help him move through the dark and back into the light. With her book, she wanted to remind himthat there is always light to be found, no matter how dark things become.

The book is beautifully illustrated with silk paintings of North American forest animals, which are fun to look at and talk about with children of varying ages. The book also contains a beautiful and important message: “You are not alone.”
